About me

"We are made of star stuff!"-Carl Sagan

I am a fifth year PhD student in Astrophysics at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. I work with Prof. Prateek Sharma. I work on local thermal instability in the intracluster medium as well as gas evolution in the circumgalactic medium of a wide range of halo masses and redshifts. Check this Research section for the most recent results!

From October, 2018 to March, 2019 (and also October, 2016 to March, 2017), I have worked on a visiting PhD fellowship at Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics, Garching, Germany.

In 2012, I joined as an Integrated-PhD student (Master's in Physics then PhD in Astrophysics) in the Department of Physics at Indian Institute of Science. I did my Bachelor of Science (with honors in Physics) at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, India from 2009-2012.
